I am known to be good for hair
Packed with amazing energy fare
Often looking like a drop of tear
Can be used as a nut, oil or flour

Popularly known as Badam in hindi, almonds are great as after-school and after-work munchies. They can be eaten on their own, raw or toasted is an element of various dishes. They take up several forms like whole nut, sliced, flaked or as almond butter, almond milk or almond oil. Used in any sweet or savory dishes, you can also have them as brittles. Almonds are used in Kashmiri, Hyderabadi and Mughlai cuisine in India. Almonds form the base of various drinks like thandai which has cooling properties
Almonds are a very good source of vitamin E, manganese, magnesium, copper, vitamin B2 and phosphorus. Almond oil improves complexion, soothes skin irritation and inflammation. It nourishes hair and smoothes hair cuticles. Regular consumption of almond helps reduce cholesterol and nourishes the brain and nervous system
